NPI Notice

 

Effective May 23, 2008 you will need a National Provider Identifier (NPI) in order to conduct certain transactions within the SafeGuard interactive web portal. If you do not provide an NPI you will not be allowed to check a claim's status or search online for plan benefits, patient eligibility and/or maximums and deductibles.

 

To apply for an NPI number, visit nppes.cms.hhs.gov.

 

(Note: All providers associated with a facility require an NPI Type I provider number.)
